Terrence Boatwright

Tuesday, July 26, 2016

Tonight we had a very good program about a man and a rare genetic disorder called "RP" or Retinitis Pigmentosa. RP is actually a group of rare genetic disorders that involve a breakdown and loss of cells in the retina. Our special guests were Terrence Boatwright and Earnest Tate. Terrence is the one afflicted with this disorder. He is seeking help in getting a new experimental treatment using stem cells gathered from his bone marrow then injected into his eyes. The medical facility that administers this treatment is located in Florida. The funds for this procedure must be submitted to the facility by August 13th in order for the treatment which is scheduled for September 13th. Terrence has set up a GoFundMe account in order to raise the $26,000 that is needed to proceed with the treatment. If you would like more information on Terrence and his disorder, or if you would like to contribute please visit his GoFundMe page at www.gofundme.com/TerrenceBoatwright.
